CONSERVATION
The term “Conservation Dog” covers a broad spectrum and encompasses a variety of canine disciplines. From tracking wildlife movements to guarding against illegal poaching, these specialist dogs now play a vital role in the safeguarding of endangered and rare species of wildlife and fauna.
At ScentPro, we are able to train conservation dogs to detect a variety of odours including but not restricted to Scat (animal faeces), carcases and dead animals, pest species and vermin, invasive plant types and specific wildlife.
This service is geared towards conservation organisations and research establishments. The use of a conservation dog greatly enhances the effectiveness of any ecological survey by offering a none intrusive, cost effective and labour reducing solution to common problems associated with conventional survey methods.
